In December, Mark Allen (6 time Ironman World Champion and one of the most inspiring and accomplished athletes ever) and Tridot launched Limitless, a global program for women who want to improve in the world of triathlon. This came about after the recognition that women face physical, social and logistical barriers in training and racing that men do not.
The goal of this initiative is to give 500 women more opportunities in triathlon – to allow them to participate, to help them improve, and to guide them towards smashing their goals. Through Limitless, women receive 12 months of free coaching through the Tridot platform and are partnered with a female coach mentor.
This is exactly what I have been looking for: access to coaching and an experience female triathlete for guidance. How could I not apply? But doubt filled my mind. Am I the right person for this? Is it first come first serve; does that mean that I could be taking a spot from someone who meets criteria better than I do? When registration opened, I still wasn’t sure if I met the criteria, only that I was certain of my own goal to improve in the sport of triathlon. So, I took a leap of faith, registered and waited. Initially, I thought that I was accepted right away, but that seemed too good to be true.
The next day, I read that there was such a high demand for women to be a part of Limitless that registration for the 500 spots had filled up within 12 hours and another 500 had been added. I thought that I was in, but I wasn’t sure where I stood. I needed proof. So I waited and waited and waited…..
About a week later, I opened my mail and gasped. In my inbox was the official confirmation that I was a part of Tridot Limitless. I was now connected to coaching, mentorship, and connections with 1000 women who, like me, want to challenge themselves and push their limits triathlon!
I am beyond excited to have this opportunity. For the past few weeks, I have been getting to know the Tridot app and how to navigate it while the app and its AI have been getting to know me. For the first week, I was leary that this was the right platform for me but I can now see that, through prescribed and structured workouts, I am being challenged and pushed while time is built in for active recovery and rest. My mind is bubbling with thoughts about this but, for now, I’ll just say that I really like it and I can already see the benefits. I know that I am in the right place. I know that I am going to be a stronger and faster triathlete.
This week is the end of the “getting to know you” phase and Limitless Coaching officially kicks off. I can’t wait!
